Rent a cosy cottage on the east side of England and take the family out and about in the woods and along the coast. Deserted beaches can look simply stunning under a cold winter sun.

Free concerts are held in the evenings, hot food and mulled wine stalls abound. Lots of good quality crafts and demonstrations. It's a leader in Christmas Markets.
